February in our house is super busy, it seems like every family member has a birthday and the NCT group I’m part of all have their children’s birthday parties this month too. So I have been spending a lot of time eating party food and stopping my son eating too much cake and getting a bit hyperactive!
Despite a lot of the time trying to avoid a ‘blue for boy’ colour scheme it really is my favourite colour! I started this page by using acrylic paint through a star stencil to make the background.
I used some papers and scraps from Shimelle’s Starshine collection and Crate Papers Little you as a matt for the photo. I wanted to page to have a messy look to it to couple with the titles, what you can’t see here is that he was digging for buried treasure in the garden and his hands are covered in mud!
I tried to keep the stamping messy and the placement of the sequins and used acetate arrows to help focus you in on his face as the lovely star background is a bit busy. I love those little pom poms which I got from a kit a while ago from UK based Quirky Kits
Thanks for reading and back to quarters of sandwiches and sausage rolls 🙂
